Spring Break 2012

After a detour through Tulsa for my Grandaddy's funeral and visits with our families, we headed to Bulverde (near San Antonio) for a week of fun!  It was great to be together and do some new things, but we all were ready to come home after being away for over a week.  We hit Sea World, Natural Bridge Caverns Wildlife Safari, the San Antonio Riverwalk, and then shopping and lunch in Bourne.  Whew!

Silly sisters!
Taylor and Caroline love their Nani.  Three sets of BLUE eyes.
The Spunky Monkey in Tulsa.
Caroline is happy to have all of the attention
At Sea World and seated in the Splash Zone.  We were SOOOOO lucky, because
everyone else in the splash zone got drenched.  We will NOT sit there again.
The sea lion show at SeaWorld (and, yes, that's a giant walrus).

Not going to smile for the camera so she's getting tickled.
Riding on Mommy's lap for the drive-thru safari
We saw a whole herd of zebras.
Feed the goats out the window.
A giant ostrich - I got nervous and closed the window on this guy.
I could see crazy in his eyes.
At the petting zoo.

On a boat tour of the SA Riverwalk.  FYI-The Riverwalk is not equipped
to handle double strollers.  Now we know.

Bathing beauties.
Sitting up on her own!

Home at last!  Nothing like a fruit snack at home on the porch.

Christmas 2011 (Better Late Than Never)

I'm a little behind on posting pictures from Christmas, so finally here they are.  Although we were all sick, we still made some special memories as a new family of FOUR and for our first Christmas in the new house.

Making Christmas cookies - Spritzes with sprinkles
Ryan putting together the kitchen from Santa - it took 7 hours!!!!
Leaving cookies for Santa and food for the reindeer (aka Cheerios)

Ready for bed.  Poor Taylor was very sick.
1st Christmas as a family of FIVE (including Chloe)
WOW!
Excited (and overwhelmed)!
Santa brought cupcakes for the kitchen.
Mr. and Mrs. Claus (I think we went to bed at 2am!)
Enjoying her new ride from Bam Bam and Pops.

Caroline's 4-month Checkup and First Taste of Food

Caroline had her 4-month check-up yesterday.  She weighs 15 lbs. 10.5 oz. and is 25.75" tall.  That puts her in the 93rd percentile for height and 87th percentile for weight.  Taylor weighed exactly 14 pounds at this same benchmark (a pound and a half less), but was almost the same height.  The doctor put Caroline on Zantac for her acid reflux and it seems to be working already.  Yea!  Last night we started cereal.  Here are a few pics!

Surprised at the first bite!
Always smiling when I'm getting attention!
A real life baby doll!
Caroline preferred it when Taylor fed her.
Love these girls!

Taylor is celebrating her Texas pride and the first day of the rodeo. She's very excited to wear her pink boots. Yee-haw.

Caroline's Baptism

We had a very special weekend for Caroline's Baptism.  The two girls were a little rambunctious during the ceremony, but when the water was poured over Caroline's head she was graced with the Holy Spirit and amazingly stopped crying!  Rev. Kate performed the ceremony at St. Martin's and we had a celebration luncheon at the Briar Club afterwards.
