First Steps Fall Festival

The Fall Festival is such a nice event put on by Taylor's school.  Last year I missed it because Caroline was only a few days old, so I was excited to go this year.  The girls had so much fun on the rides and Caroline thought she was a two-year old and fit right in.  Caroline literally was running towards the camel and ponies with open arms and couldn't wait to ride them.  Taylor's favorites were the more subtle swing ride and carousel.

Dressed up in my old costume
Caroline wants to be a kitty too!
And the tail has a bell!

Running to the camel for a ride
Happy to be riding a pony
Interesting face painting
Scary camel ride - never again!
Seemed like a good idea - except for riding on the hump and not having anything to hold onto

Thinks she's a big kid now

Happy 1st Birthday, Sweet Caroline

A little bit of cake on her special day!
Taylor is so sweet to her.  She insisted on picking her out
a special card for her birthday.  A singing Ariel card, of course.
Two sissies in their new push car.
Making car noises as she rides.

Singing Happy Birthday to our sweet, baby girl.

Cinnamon Shore - Caroline's 1st Beach Trip and My 34th (Yikes!)

A beach trip in Texas?  With white sand and nice beaches?  Yep, we found our new favorite vacation spot in Cinnamon Shore on Mustang Island near Port Aransas, just about 3.5 hours from Houston.  We planned it to be an end of summer getaway and birthday celebration weekend with the Slye's (Aubrey's birthday is this week and mine was last Saturday).  It was also Caroline's first trip to the beach and the weather was very nice.  Not too hot, but still warm enough to swim in the ocean.
Walking over the doons to the beach!  What a view!
Now what is this bucket for?
This is great, Mom!  I love the beach.

Trying out the water.
Teaching Baby Sister how to make sandcastles
She loves it!
Literally running for the waves!
Clapping because she likes it.
I can run free and this sand feels good when I stumble.

Beach buddies - Caroline, Clark and Harrison
Pool time.  So refreshing.

Showing me what she found - a piece of driftwood!
Ryan picked up the most amazing cake from Three Brothers Bakery in Houston.
The beach theme was so cute.  What a fun surprise!
Look at the cute little fish and turtles.
Birthday dinner night.
Walking to dinner a Lisabelle's.
It is such a pretty place.
My favorite dinner buddy.
This party hat is perfect for her!  She should wear it all of the time.
Taylor was so excited to help me blow out the candles.
Aubrey's turn!
Party crew.
Plus one more!
Harrison was so sweet with Caroline.  She thought he was hilarious
and leaned in for a kiss.
XOXO
