Furniture Mission Accomplished

Picking the crib and furniture wasn't as easy as I thought it might be. There is the color, style and safety then the choice of drop side, convertible, etc. After several due diligence trips and three hours at the store, we decided a traditional drop-side crib, in antique white. Luckily, we were able to find the furniture on sale for Labor Day! We just hope the dresser arrives before the end of December estimate they gave us! (And we thought we were planning ahead.) I've posted a couple pictures of the furniture below. The shelves on the dresser will be replaced by a changing table topper.

Half Baked

We had our 20-week ultrasound today and everything looks great. I'm tracking exactly to my due date of January 9th. I love the profile picture and her little feet (look at those long toes...I know those aren't from my side of the family :) She wasn't co-operating with the ultrasound nurse so it did take a while to get some good pictures.

Pink, White and Khaki

Today was a fun day. We've picked the colors and ordered the bedding. It's not a huge suprise to those who know I have toile in every room...but we picked pink toile with khaki and white ruffles. I've attached a few swatches of the actual fabrics, which is all I have until everything comes in. I feel like we are finally making some progress.











We've made it to the halfway point...I'm 20 weeks today. All went well at the doctor on Friday and we are anxiously awaiting next ultrasound on Thursday. It's always fun to see her.

Baby Synnott at 4 months

This is a picture from our 4-month ultrasound. What an amazing experience to see her dancing around and stretching her hands and legs! We should have more pictures to post next week at the 20-week ultrasound. I think I've felt a few movements (more like baby punches, not the flutters you read about in the books). And I had my first absolute craving for ice cream on Saturday. I called Ryan for the o.k. before heading to get a Frosty at Wendy's. His reassurance was just what I needed to give in. "Do it for the baby!" Working on baby decor this weekend! Will post colors once we've decided. Think pink and toile.
